Autumn brings with it some typhoons. They don’t go on forever, but when they do come it is a good idea to heed the warnings and be more safe than sorry. Also please keep in mind that the weather can change suddenly at higher elevations. A pilgrimage is not a race. It’s a long long walk. Take a day or two off if you need to. Let the blisters on your feet heal a little. Sit in the onsen. Do some writing and self-reflection. Just don’t get hurt. Stay safe. Stay dry.
