It is late March and the cherry blossoms are coming into bloom. It really is a tremendously magical time to be in Japan. We have clients who are on the Shikoku Pilgrimage now, others who are cycling across the sea on the Shimanami Kaido path, others in Kyoto and still others in Tokyo. We absolutely love helping our people experience Japan in ways that are meaningful, authentic, and which create memories that they will carry with them forever.

Your journey to Japan, if you come for pilgrimage, takes a shape that resembles a slow walk into the deep end of a pool. From arrival in Tokyo, a few days in Kyoto, to moving towards a Japan that has fewer buildings, trains, and cars, our clients slowly acclimate to experiences that stimulate their senses and deepen their awareness. The Shikoku Pilgrimage is one of self-enlightenment, of finding truth on the path. That path does not begin once you arrive in Tokushima at Temple 01- Ryouzenji. That path starts at the international airport when you arrive.

From getting through the Narita International Airport in Tokyo, to those first few bewildering but exciting days in Tokyo, to time walking on the ancient streets of Kyoto and bearing witness to centuries of refined culture, to later starting your own personal reflection on the pilgrim’s path, it really is ALL a pilgrimage for you.
