Now you feel a little more “back in the groove”. The distance from Temple 24 to here is about six kilometres so the long drought of not seeing anything for days is over. The temple, Shinshouji is the “Temple of the Shining Sea Port”, and it is really a great place to see the coastline and the sea. Gorgeous. The temple itself is relatively simple, yet historically significant as Lord Yamanouchi, who during a turbulent experience at sea, was said to have been rescued by the deity Jizou who took control of the vessel and brought him to safety.
